National Chin-Yi University of Technology Sustainability Initiative
In 1987, the UN's World Commission for Environment and Development, the Brundtland Commission, reported “Our Common Future”, declaring the road towards global sustainable development. In 1992, the UN's Rio Declaration on Earth Summit suggested“Think Globally, Act Locally”, and called on nations to work together for human sustainable development. Following the UN’s passing of the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015, a common guideline for the world on sustainable development was provided by adopting an 2015-2030 action on global society, the environment and the economy.
